DAY TRIP OVERVIEW
How it Works!
Customers will park in Paoli where a shuttle will take them to the starting point.
Shuttles run roughly every 25 minutes on Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays, and every 45 minutes or sooner on Thursdays & Fridays. Pick up is as near as possible to the Paoli Park Shelter located at 1367 County Rd Pb, Belleville, WI 53508(Located in Paoli). Park anywhere nearby where allowable and safe. Shuttles run between 8:30am – 1:00pm. Estimate 3-4 hours to return to Paoli where you finish. Kayaks are single person and rent for $48 each, 3 person canoes are $68 each. Shuttle service, paddles, and life vests are included. Parking is available at the starting point if you wish to provide your own transportation. Day Trips finish in Paoli, where you will find live music, food, beverages, and more! A detailed confirmation will be emailed when reserving online.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL SUGGESTION; this section of river is appropriate for most beginner and novice, intermediate, and experienced paddlers. FIRST TIME PADDLERS: Please consider gaining basic skills prior to paddling this section, being accompanied by an experienced paddler, or using our basic guide and instruction service when available.
Day trips are reserved through the website, or can be called in the same day before 11am to check availability. It is highly advised reservations be made a few days ahead of time, we regularly sell out. Your reservation will include all sizes of PFDs needed. Park in the morning where you catch the Sugar River Outfitters Shuttle up river to get started. Parking is available around the Paoli Park square or in other designated public areas. Customers can catch the shuttle near the shelter located in the Paoli Park. Shuttles run roughly every 25 minutes starting at 8:30 am thru 1pm Saturday, Sunday, & holidays. Thursday and Friday shuttles run roughly every 45 min. Trip times can vary based on pace and water speed, but most finish in about 3 hours. We ask all paddlers finish by 5pm. All equipment will be assigned and waiting for you at the landing where you start. Sugar River Outfitters staff will assist with equipment, provide safety information, and getting you on the river. Customers will be responsible for themselves while on the river. Your river trip will end at the historic Paoli Mill Park. This is also the location of the Hop Garden Tap Room, Farm Kitchen, My Tipsy Gypsy, live music, park, and different festivals throughout the year. Day Trips are available Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, & Holidays. Expanded service is possible if demand warrants. Call with any special requests. All 14 canoes are high impact plastic with 3 molded seats each, thirty kayaks are single person “sit in” ~10’, and 12 kayaks are “sit on” 11’ intended for those customers with special needs, mobility challenges, or a parent with a small child.
